Theatre Production & Design
Jordan has been working in Theatre since 2015, ranging from working on low budget student productions to busy fringe festivals and large scale touring theatre production. As a Theatre Maker, Jordan has held a various number of roles, gaining experience in both technical and performance sides of design and production. Some of his recent work can be seen below.
A Most Pressing Issue
A Most Pressing Issue – A play by Tim Harris in partnership with Matt Williams.
A dark satirical comedy that follows four prison workers battling a fire with anything but water. As characters wrestle with existential crises, heartbreak and bureaucracy, an inevitable doom draws ever nearer, forcing this band of misfits to confront their long forgotten responsibilities. Brought on to Direct and update in collaboration with Tim and Matt. Using my previous experience of directing along with my passion for clowning and play based divising, we worked to develop and add depth to the shows characters. The show was well recieved selling out 3 of our 5 perfromances.

Caleb, Tegan, Sammy, and Jean work in an understaffed convenience store that needs a new fridge, a better manager, and a drive-by shooting - anything to make life a bit more exciting. Convenience is a new comedy by Janet Taylor exploring how hard it is to care when nobody cares about you.
"A blisteringly caustic and funny script" ... "Absolutely hilarious" ... "Resonates with anyone who has ever worked retail" (Audience responses)

Working with Janet and Molly through R&D through to our performed rehearsed reading, and collaborating to turn a black box theatre into the busy shop floor of a local convience store. I usually prioritise working closely with directors but this was an interesting opportunitiy to also work closely with the writer.
Pinocchio
A stage show, true to the original story of Pinocchio. Adapted from the book by Carlo Collodi, performed by Steve Tiplady. An Indefinite Articles production, in association with Little Angel Theatre. Running from 29 April– 26 June 2022

Having trained with Steve during the production of ‘The Raven, The Pigeon & The Parakeet’, I had the opportunity work with him once again in his version of Pinocchio. I took on the role of Stage Manager for the show and also had the opportunity to utilise my creative skills as the Associate Lighting Designer.
Four Fig Theatre - Climate Justice

Now with a strong working relationship with Four Fig, I have helped with the running of their scratch nights, predominantly as a Technical Stage Manager but also supplying creative support as a Lighting Designer for most of the pieces.
The Bobolyne Poets - SH!T SHOW
'SH!T SHOW' showcases loud and proud punk poets that collaborate, cross over and dip their toes into the realms of comedy, music and the carnivalesque. The Bobolyne Poets are a collective of Brighton-based award-winning poetry performers that put on raucous events to fundraise for refugee-related charities.

Now working closely with The Bobolyne Poets as their Technical Manager, this was my first show with them. Working on both Lighting and Sound design for our 2021 Brighton Fringe Show at The Warren, I spent a lot of time designing performer specific sound and lights as well as providing technical management and support for any musical performances.
A Christmas Carol
An immersive audio play experience, set up in Ottawa and the surrounding areas to provide a COVID-19 safe alternative to festive theatre trips. Promoted on Canadian Broadcasting Company Radio. Additional Funding support from CSArt Ottawa and Awesome Ottawa.
For this project, I took reigns on nearly everything audio, apart from recording, which had to be remote due to COVID-19 restrictions. I did however, edit and design all other sound aspects of the piece, working closely with my collaborators internationally to deliver a novel way of telling a well know and loved tale.
A Doesn’t Live Here Anymore
This new theatre piece was created during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. Existing as a multimedia online sandbox experience, the culmination of an international six week collaboration. Launched July 2020.

For this project I worked across many different mediums, from script writing, to sound design, to visual effects creation and editing. Having to change the delivery method of this piece of theatre meant my audio visual design and editing skills came in rather handy.
The Raven, The Pigeon & The Parakeet
A community engagement suitcase puppet show. Created to tour around primary schools & community centres in and around Islington, in collaboration with Little Angel Theatre and their community outreach programmes. Funded by Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Performed & toured February 2020

As a piece of true grassroots community theatre, our whole company worked outside their comfort zones to ensure the creation of something quite magical for the children and families watching. Working throughout the process as Artistic Director, I spent time building set and puppets as well as creating compositions, alongside SueIn Kang, to be performed live during the puppet show itself.
The Hours
A contemporary dance piece with progressively developing and immersive scenery, shown in full round at the Milton Court Studio Theatre. Funded from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Created as part of the Collaborative Theatre Production and Design MA Programme. Performed December 2019

For ‘The Hours’, I took the lead for the sound design and compositional elements. Working closely with SueIn Kang, we developed four discrete compositions to accompany each one of four dancers. Each piece represented a season of which each dancer was embodying.
Les Joncailles Centre de Création
Artist Residency with circus skills performers. Working in three sections of an overall performance, design to explore the idea of what the world will be like in 2058. Based at the Centre de Création, near Bergerac.

Although cut short by the emergence of COVID-19 and subsequent lockdowns, this opportunity to work outside the confines of contemporary classical theatre was a real eye opening opportunity. I developed my skills as both a composer as well as visual designer, working with generative compositions, graphic design and projection. I also took on the role of Head of Sound, plotting and running sound plots for the whole piece.
